The plain-English agreement

1. Quotes and booking

• Every portrait is quoted individually after Jenna has seen your reference photos and your symbol list. Prices on the site are starting points, not final prices.
• A quote is valid for 14 days. Your place in the queue is reserved when the deposit is received.
• Jenna may decline a commission at her discretion — for example, a subject she isn't comfortable drawing or references she can't work from. If that happens before a deposit is paid, nothing is owed.

2. Payment

• A 50% deposit books your commission. The balance is due when the finished portrait is approved, before it ships or the final file is delivered.
• Payment methods are listed in your quote.
• Prices are in US dollars. Shipping is added at cost as shown on the commissions page.

3. Cancellations and refunds

• If you cancel before the sketch stage, your deposit is refunded minus a $25 booking fee.
• Once the sketch has been sent, the deposit is non-refundable: it covers the work already done and the queue spot you held.
• If Jenna has to cancel a commission for any reason after the deposit, the deposit is refunded in full.

4. Reference photos

• You confirm that you own the photos you send, or have the permission of the person who does, and that everyone pictured is happy to be drawn.
• Sharp, well-lit photos produce the best likeness. Jenna will tell you if a photo won't work before starting.
• Portraits of children and pets are welcome with the guardian's or owner's permission.

5. Sketch approval and revisions

• You will see a composition sketch before the final linework. One round of changes to the layout, symbols or likeness is included at this stage.
• Further rounds, or changes requested after the sketch is approved, are quoted as extra work.
• Please reply to the sketch within 7 days so the timeline holds; a commission that waits longer may move back in the queue.

6. Style and likeness

• A Spiritual Portrait is drawn in Jenna's recognizable style: an artwork, not a photographic copy. The sketch stage exists so you can confirm the likeness feels right.
• Every portrait is drawn by hand. No AI image tools are used at any stage.

7. Timeline

• Your quote includes an estimated completion window — typically two to four weeks from the deposit, depending on the queue.
• Estimates are made in good faith and are not a guarantee. If something changes, Jenna will tell you as soon as she knows. A rush option is available when the calendar allows.

8. Delivery and shipping

• Finished portraits are scanned at high resolution and emailed to you, and the original is shipped flat, protected and tracked, after the balance is paid.
• Shipping within the US is a flat rate shown on the commissions page; shipping elsewhere is quoted. Customs duties, if any, are the recipient's responsibility.
• Please check the package on arrival. Damage in transit must be reported with photos within 7 days so a claim can be made.
• Digital-only commissions are delivered as a print-ready file; no original is produced.

9. Copyright and use

• Jenna (Ethereal Angel) keeps the copyright to every portrait, including commissioned ones. You own the original artwork you purchased.
• You may display the portrait, share it online, and make prints for personal use. Please credit Jenna when you share it.
• Commercial use — selling prints or merchandise, use in advertising, use as a logo — requires a separate written agreement.
• Jenna may show the finished portrait in her gallery and on social media. If you'd prefer it stay private, say so when you order and it will.
